My name is Toni ”Löysä” Lehtonen. I´m 27 years old and I play drums at Status Quo Tribute. I´ve started to play when I was about 10, when my uncle gave me his old drums(greetings to Juha Sahla!). I didn´t have any knowledge about playing drums at that point, just that Juha had tried desperately to get at least something through to my head. I tried to learn different drumming styles by listening to old cassettes and very slowly it started to get better. I had the first band when I was at the upper level of school.
I first heard Quo´s music about10 years ago when Sami played me the records and I´m still on that same old road. I noticed, that Quo´s very straight comp, which goes on like a steam train, was great for my playing style and it´s the style I most enjoy. At some point of the beginning of our band we noticed that we had a lot of Quo - songs in our setlist and because we had three guys, that were big Quo - fans in our band, we thought it would be a perfect time for a tribute band to the greatest rock´n´roll band in the world. To the band which is now at their 40th Anniversary Tour! So just 13 years more and I have lived as long as The Gentlemen of Quo has been rockin´all over the world! Incredible band!
